The Homestead rental catalogue

Before the vehicle arrives: settle the practical details

A short handover record is more useful than leaving the driver to guess. Make sure the property contact and rental team share the same plan.

Record the agreed receiving point

Keep the rental reference, exact address and entrance together. State who will receive the equipment and how the team can reach them. If the property is unattended, agree the process explicitly; leaving a note does not create an accepted unattended delivery arrangement.

Review the position with the provider

Describe the surface, approach and available working space. Mention planned activity that could change conditions before delivery. Do not place equipment over an assumed utility-free area or improvise a lift, ramp or move; ask the responsible people to assess the actual installation.

Walk the user route

Check the journey from the work or guest area to the facilities. Include doors, washing, queues and accessible use. Keep the area clear after other suppliers set up. Make the accepted location easy to find without putting signs or barriers in the access route.

Keep service and removal in the same record

Write down the agreed maintenance arrangement and the way to report a problem. Confirm whether pickup needs a separate request, who can open the property and when collection can occur. Hand these details to the person responsible at the end, especially if the original organiser will have left.

Bring the details. Ask the questions.

Let’s make the next step a clear one.

Discuss the property, the people and the period of use.
The equipment arrangement follows from there.
