Explain how the station will be used
Describe the number of people, periods of concentrated use and the facilities already present. A wash point beside restrooms may serve a different pattern from one requested for a work area or guest entrance. If a food operation has specific requirements, discuss those with its responsible authority rather than assuming any portable sink is suitable.
Ask what the unit needs to operate
Confirm the available model, water arrangement, soap and towel provision, and how wastewater is managed. Do not assume unlimited stored water or an automatic refill. Ask what the planned service includes and how additional attention is requested.
Choose an unobstructed approach
People should reach the basin without blocking a toilet doorway or a vehicle lane. Include accessible use and the surrounding surface in the layout review. Protect the agreed area from tables, rubbish containers and other equipment that may arrive later.
At an occasion with separate activity areas, explain those locations before deciding how wash facilities should be distributed. A single convenient spot for the organiser may be inconvenient for the users.
Keep responsibility clear
Give an onsite contact a simple way to report missing supplies, low water or a fault. Do not add unapproved products or discharge water around the unit. Follow the provider’s instructions and agree collection with the rest of the rental equipment.
